| November 7, 2017 | Parties

THE PARTY It was a banner year for the Festival of Arts’ annual Celebrity Benefit Concert. A star-studded crowd gathered to tally more than $270,000 in celebration of the creative affair’s 85th anniversary and upgraded facilities. THE GUESTS Hollywood favorite Bryan Cranston helmed the fete and was spotted snapping a photo with fellow actors Peter Bergman and John O’Hurley. The latter’s wife, Lisa, later tweeted out the image with the caption: “Thirty-five years of friendship right here.” Also spotted on the scene were Joe Mantegna and Erica Luttrell. And musicians Lani Hall and Herb Alpert wowed the crowd of nearly 3,000 with lively tunes. THE HIGHLIGHTS Cranston’s adoration of the fest was apparent as he introduced a special performance of the Pageant of the Masters tableaux vivant production. He reminisced about his first visit with his wife some 30 years ago and encouraged everyone to partake in it all, “not just as appreciators of art, but also as participants.” -Emma Reith
