| September 4, 2013 | Parties

He’s the heir to the midcentury-mod throne of Charles and Ray Eames, and an intimate group of fans had the chance to meet him when he paid a visit to Design Within Reach’s Costa Mesa studio. Yes, Eames Demetrios, grandson to the two renowned talents and principal of Eames Office, chatted with attendees about their passions for art, architecture and design (what else?) over pours from Balius Wines. He also talked about the family’s 250-year plan to preserve the Eames House in Pacific Palisades, where Charles and Ray lived and worked during their most creative days, and which is today recognized as one of the most notable postwar residences on the planet.
