Elevating Hope

| July 27, 2011 | Parties

A magnificent view of the beach greeted 500 guests who arrived at Surf City’s Hyatt Regency for CASA’s (Court Appointed Special Advocates of Orange County) annual gala. The volunteer advocacy program for abused and neglected children entertained guests who bid on silent auction items while sipping cocktails before country recording star Jimmy Wayne captivated the audience with the story of his homeless youth. Board chairman Scott Ferguson proclaimed the gala, which netted $680,000, “one of the largest and most financially successful events in Orange County.” Photography by Teresa Taylor
