March welcomes some of the best parts of our Earth’s rejuvenating cycle. The sun starts to feel a bit warmer, the days get longer and plants start to bloom.
Yes, it’s the first signs of spring signaling loud and clear all the seasonal fun to come.
Look to Southern California’s most beloved theme parks and that fun comes as the Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival.
From March 4 to April 26, head to California Adventure for the return of the fan favorite festival. Full of fantastic food, art and entertainment, the limited-time event highlights the diverse foods and flavors of our fabulous home state— of course with a special Disney twist.
Honing in on the Golden State’s numerous cultural and regional culinary traditions, a lineup of visiting and Disney chefs who represent a range of communities will share personal stories and cooking tips while offering guests culinary demonstrations, tasting seminars and signature events.
The festival will be spread out across a dozen festival marketplaces, which will serve small plates and beverages inspired by California-grown staples like avocados, citrus, peppers, strawberries and artisanal cheeses. Attendees will be excited to see the return of past favorites and exciting new items, including carbonara-garlic mac and cheese with peppered bacon s’mores cold brew cocktail and caramel-peanut milk chocolate Mickey macaron. There will also be plenty of plant-based, allergy-friendly, gluten-friendly and kid-friendly dishes.
Guests 21 and over will surely flock to the Paradise Beer Garden right near Paradise Garden Grill where you can discover wines, spirits and craft beers from across California. Hosted by Corckcircle, Sonoma Terrace will also serve signature cocktails and savory snacks amid a lively, lounge-like atmosphere.
Crowns & Hops Brewery, Brown Estate Winery, McBride Sisters Winery, Shadow Ridge Distillery, Kayla’s Macarons and Flour Shop are among the participating vendors.
The California Adventure Food & Wine Festival is about more than just the food. Among the added entertainment programming will be culinary demonstrations over the weekend at the Hollywood Backlot Stage. It will also host a limited number of kids to decorate cupcakes during Alice’s Wonderland Bakery Unbirthday Party.
Perhaps most exciting is the limited return of Soarin’ Over California. Fans of the original theme park ride can experience the magic of our home state starting March 4. And for those who have never been, the can’t-miss ride is an unforgettable, immersive journey from the Golden Gate Bridge to the crashing waves of Malibu and beyond.
