Dance Party!

| May 26, 2011 | Parties National

Supporters of Assistance League of Newport-Mesa strapped on their dancing shoes for the Dancing for Tomorrow’s Stars fundraiser at The Grove of Anaheim. Among the 500 guests in attendance were event chair Judy Weightman, who challenged the audience to pony up $10 votes; honorary chairperson Janet Curci; and a panel of star judges, including Jim McAleer and champion hoofers Pamela Roossin and Melaina Larson. Former UCLA cheerleader Dr. Sherri Worth, with partner Eddie Alba, won Best Female Dancer, while the evening’s top vote-getter, George Schreyer, with Nataliya Kravets, finished hot on her heels. But the real winner was ALNM: The star-studded party raised more than $200,000 to fund a variety of programs. Photos by Ann Chatillon
