Culinary Kings

| December 6, 2013 | Parties

Foodie fans rubbed elbows with O.C.’s culinary royalty (including The Winery’s Yvon Goetz and SeaLegs’ Alexander Dale) as they grazed on the patio of the Fairmont Hotel in Newport Beach, savoring bites prepped by the talents who were vying for a “Best” title. It was all part of the excitement leading up to the second annual Golden Foodie Awards, and what an affair it was. The Ranch Restaurant & Saloon took home honors for Best Steak and Best American Food (the only eatery to garner two titles), while Noah Blom’s ARC snapped up the trophy for Best New Restaurant. The folks at The Winery carried away the Best Wine List award, and the SeaLegs crew took home Best California Cuisine. Many other kudos followed, but the biggie of them all went to The Golden Truffle’s Alan Greeley, who was deemed this year’s Golden Chef. Now that’s something to chew on.
