Newport Beach Lexus was the place, O.C. Restaurant Week’s kickoff was the reason—and a nibble and nosh party was the only way to celebrate (and warm up bellies for the days ahead). Hungry diners far and wide ate their way through bite upon bite from Scott’s Restaurant, Cucina Enoteca, Katsuya and Starfish—just a few of the week’s 100 participating eateries—and sipped vino and beer from more than 15 wineries, SoCal Brewery and Stella. But the event didn’t just keep guests well fed; the launch party benefited Share Our Strength, which works to end childhood hunger across the U.S.—a fitting org for a foodie fest.
