Childhelp’s Nashville Nights Gala lassoed $460,000 during its fall soiree at The Resort at Pelican Hill.
The Party O.C.’s philanthropists ponied up in Western attire for Childhelp’s Nashville Nights Gala at The Resort at Pelican Hill, where co-chairs Susan Hill, Kristen James and Pam Pharris had the spirited crowd rallying in support of child abuse victims. The scene Childhelp’s O.C. chapter president, Julie Adams, and her husband, Mark (chair of Childhelp’s Men’s Committee with co-chair Bud Pharris), welcomed the hundreds of attendees to a night of gambling, dinner and dancing. The Macallan whiskey flowed as The Arnie Newman Band sang country classics after partygoers toasted this year’s Benevelont Heart Award winners, WINGS. The youth auxiliary group, made of 60 seventh- through 12th-graders, was recognized for its work in carrying out the org’s valiant mission. The Highlights Celebrity ambassadors Paulie Harraka and Dancing With the Stars favorites Maksim Chmerkovskiy and wife Peta Murgatroyd thrilled, but it was the $460,000 tally that had everyone kicking up their boots. -Allison Mitchell
