Laguna Art Museum’s California Cool Art Auction shined with a $466,000 net to benefit its exhibitions and education programs.

THE PARTY Artists, creatives and locals alike filled the Laguna Art Museum for its annual California Cool Art Auction. Guests took in works by some 100 California artists while sipping craft cocktails and indulging in delicious fare from West Coast Event Productions. THE GUESTS Co-chairs Sara Heeschen and Deborah Lake; committee members Jeannie Denholm, Ruben Flores, Vanessa Helin, Lauren MacLaughlin Brinker and Karen Morally; and LAM Director of Special Events Sarah Strozza orchestrated the artful event. Executive Vice President and chairman of Sotheby’s Americas Andrea Fiuczynski and Mark J. Thomas of California Coast Auctions led the highly anticipated live auction, during which included Peter Alexander’s “LAX XXXII” sold for an impressive $23,000. THE HIGHLIGHTS LAM toasted its centennial in stunning style—this year’s Art Auction was its most successful to date, with a sparkling tally of $466,000. Bravo! -Briar Davis
