Brush with Fame

It’s a coveted opportunity that art lovers look forward to all year, and this time, about 300 gathered at Laguna Art Museum for the 14th annual Laguna Beach Plein Air Painting Invitational Collectors’ Soirée. They browsed—and bought—works by 40 artists who dotted the landscape the week before, capturing iconic settings on canvas. Live music set the mood, courtesy of the Dan Reckard Trio. In between marveling at masterpieces, guests sipped wines by 14 Hands and nibbled on bites by 24 Carrots. The night served as a lively ending to another fabulous invitational—plein and simple.
