A forward-thinking group of 370 looked to the future by netting more than $425,000 during United Cerebral Palsy’s Life Without Limits Gala, themed Through the Eyes of a Child. George and Julia Argyros, and co-chairs Michele Maryott and Matthew Maletta were among those who gathered at the Balboa Bay Club, where they were moved by live performances from children with disabilities and bid on an array of auction items. The affair also featured an award ceremony honoring James Mazzo of Abbott Medical Optics for his support of those with cerebral palsy. But the highlight came with the unveiling of the nonprofit’s new Cortical Vision Impairment Early Intervention Program at UCI’s Gavin Herbert Eye Institute. Visionary, indeed. Photos by Ann Chatillon
