Bridge to the Arts

| September 25, 2015 | Parties

THE PARTY They gathered on the Bridge of Gardens, high above the bustle of the street below, and dined alfresco on a multicourse dinner prepared by Joachim Splichal—arctic char with cucumber and fennel, sweet corn agnolotti and rack of lamb on an artichoke. It was a creative culinary display befitting Art of Dining’s purpose—to raise funding for the Orange County Museum of Art. THE GUESTS The affair paid homage to the late Henry T. Segerstrom, whose vision, generosity and keen business savvy helped shape the region; and internationally recognized Corona del Mar-based artist Tony DeLap. Anton Segerstrom and wife Jennifer, who served on the executive committee, were among the 350 VIPs, including Twyla Martin, Sally Crockett and Irene Martino. THE HIGHLIGHTS The soiree started with a Champagne toast at South Coast Plaza’s Louis Vuitton boutique and lasted late into the night with a postparty featuring live entertainment. But the real highlight came after the evening’s end, when the final tally of $440,000 was revealed. Bravo! –Photos by Ryan Miller of Capture Imaging
