Bountiful Style

| January 29, 2013 | Parties

They began gathering at 9:30am—hundreds of O.C.’s most fashionable philanthropists donned their best designer dresses and heels, and headed to Segerstrom Center for the Harvesters’ annual fashion show (think the likes of Pucci, Chanel, Versace… ) and luncheon, which kicked off with a silent auction featuring prizes like luxury vacays and baubles galore. Tickets sold out early—it’s what you’d expect from a 20th anniversary event. In the two decades since Jill Johnson-Tucker and Jennifer Van Bergh founded the group, more than $5.5 million has been raised to feed the hungry through Second Harvest Food Bank. Half a million of that was netted at this year’s party alone, thanks to the efforts of co-chairwomen Jennifer Segerstrom and Susan Etchandy. And we say bravo to that!
