Bottled Up!

| February 23, 2012 | Parties National

It was a night for sipping fine wines, sampling gourmet cheeses and delicious bites (the creation of chef Pascal Olhats, no less), mingling with friends—and bidding on rare vinos, like a bottle of 1982 Petrus that sold for $3,000. (That’s half the market price. The lucky bidder: Judd Hoffman.) But the biggest moneymaker brought in 10 times that. The Fund a Need paddle raise garnered $30,000. In all, 400 guests strolled through the Newport Lexus dealership (former NFL player and Survivor contestant Steve Wright among them) for this annual event, which raised much-needed funding for charities such as Festival of Children, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Orange County and Orangewood Children’s Foundation. Cheers to that! Photos by John Hibma
