There’s no better place for a farm-to-table dinner than an earthy, rustic venue, so The Ecology Center in San Juan Capo was the perfect fit for Billabong’s alfresco feast celebrating its partnership with the Chipotle Cultivate Foundation—this year’s Design for Humanity beneficiary. The eco-friendly event featured a performance from Donavon Frankenreiter and a healthful meal from chef Paul Buchanan, who used regionally grown products—including young avocados from musician Jason Mraz’s farm—to create his menu. And all that supported the organizations’ efforts to provide greater education about nutritious food and sustainability for the future. Photography by Gina Turpel
