Make an impact. That was the mission of the 160 women who gathered at Bowers Museum for Big Brothers Big Sisters of O.C.’s Change a Life Luncheon—and here’s how they accomplished it. They threw down the dollars during an opportunity drawing for diamond earrings, and they bid on luxe auction goodies. Ladies also listened when author Rhonda Sciortino discussed the importance of mentorship for young people. And their applause was thunderous when Angelitos de Oro was honored for donating more than $5 million to the nonprofit since 1961. The day’s tally came in at $55,000—a not-so-little total for an event with a very big goal. –Photos by Liga and Norm Svikss of Fotograafe Photo Studio
