Local frame fanatics are in for a treat courtesy of Warby Parker (warbyparker.com). The coveted eyewear brand’s Fashion Island outpost is now open and stocked with the finest eyeglass frames, sunnies and accessories. “Opening in Fashion Island means we’ll be able to bring the full Warby Parker retail experience to our O.C. friends and family for the first time ever,” says co-founder and co-CEO Neil Blumenthal. The 1,628-square-foot store boasts sophisticated interiors reminiscent of a public library while paying homage to the city with a custom mural by Californian Robbie Simon. “It’s an exciting move that takes us closer to where many of our customers already go to browse and shop,” adds Blumenthal. “It lets us call another one of Newport Beach’s distinctive neighborhoods home.”
