Beach House Bash

| October 4, 2016 | Parties

Celebs, surfers and luxe locals ride the waves at Paséa Hotel & Spa’s Grand Opening Party.

THE PARTY Picture this: an oasis rising steps from the sea, the sun’s rays gleaming off its sparkling facade and all the beautiful people of the coast filling its spaces. See it yet? It was Paséa Hotel & Spa’s grand opening, and it was everything you’d expect from such a debut.

THE GUESTS Some 530 hip beach bums breezed in for the bash. Billabong CEO Neil Fiske and wife Sonya, stars Ron Livingston and RoseMarie DeWitt, and O.C. native and pro surfer Courtney Conlogue chatted with execs from Pacific Hospitality Group (the resort’s owner)—who all sported shoes from Vans—and developer Bob Olson. Even Moonshine, Paséa’s resident pup, made an appearance.

THE HIGHLIGHTS The festivities flowed throughout the resort as guests went from the ribbon-cutting in the porte cochere (a warm welcome, indeed) to live art in the ballroom (courtesy of The Art of Chase) to Veuve in the VIP area (there were goodies from Sun Bum here too). And on the Ocean Lawn, water warriors spread out on Adirondacks, watched the sunset and toasted H.B.’s newest sanctuary on the shore. –Kristen Schott; photos by Calee Brean Killion
