Band Together

| May 2, 2014 | Parties

Local music aficionados came to praise local soundsters in a range of genres and listen as group after talented group hit the stage to perform their toe-tapping tunes—all part of the 13th OC Music Awards at The Grove of Anaheim. Honors were doled out in 26 categories, with iconic punk rockers The Offspring landing the Impact Award and O.C. native David “Kid” Ramos taking home the Lifetime Achievement Award for his valuable contribution to blues-rock. Among the other notables were Jeremiah Red (Best Blues), The Ultimate Bearhug (Best Folk) and Kiev (Album of the Year). And, speaking of that band, its members put on an unforgettable performance, as did Breach the Summit, David & Olivia and other acts—sounds like a good time, indeed. –Photos courtesy of OC Music Awards
