Performer Young MC gets the revelers to “Bust a Move.”
Eight-hundred stylish guests donned their best duds and gathered at the Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach for CASA’s Black & White Ball. A cocktail reception kicked it all off, followed by a gourmet dinner and a live auction that dazzled. Among the lineup of rarities: a gastronomic tasting that nabbed a $50,000 winning bid. Emcee Alan Thicke and a performance from Taylor Dayne kept the crowd going, but the award ceremony drove the org’s mission home. Honorees included Ted and Lourdes Nark, and AnQi’s Elizabeth An and her family, who shared the story of their impoverished beginnings in the U.S. It all helped raise more than $1 million for the nonprofit.
