Auto Magic

| April 2, 2012 | Parties

Car enthusiasts were in full force at the unveiling of the 2012 Porsche 911 Carrera, held at the automaker’s new, ultramodern Newport Beach showroom. Guests enjoyed vino courtesy of Newport Beach Vineyards & Winery, and tasty hors d’oeuvres created by some of O.C.’s most renowned chefs, including Cucina Alessa’s Alessandro Pirozzi. But nothing could compare to the thrill of experiencing the Carrera’s power and precision. That’s right, partygoers like Mary Michaels and David Riley (whose looks demanded a spot in this year’s Men of Style feature) got up close and personal with the luxury car, which features a lightweight design with an innovative aluminum-steel body, making this new-generation model sleeker, sportier and more comfortable. Overall, the daytime event proved to be a great learning session for those auto lovers seeking to celebrate the latest edition of a German classic. Here’s to life in the fast lane!
