Red Bear Winery, the family-owned California wine label launched in May 2022 by entrepreneur Sam Jordan in partnership with his father, Wayne Jordan, has released its second vintage Cabernet Sauvignon. Crafted in the Alexander Valley region of Sonoma County by local winemaker Drew Damskey, Red Bear Winery’s 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon is a delightful reflection of the soft fruit that the year’s temperate growing season offered. Continuing the legacy of passion and finesse expected from the terroir, the 2019 Red Bear Cabernet Sauvignon is full-bodied and expressive. The dynamic wine reflects an intersection of luxury and accessibility, offering a smooth and balanced sipping experience. Bottled in June of 2021, the 2019 Red Bear focuses nicely on the palate with well-rounded depth. Tasting notes include: berries, clove, oolong tea, candied orange peel and chocolate.
"The 2019 Red Bear Cabernet Sauvignon leaps from the glass with a mix of clove, ripe plum, black cherry, and Kirsch. The mouth is lush and framed by bramble berry, and Morello cherry, giving way to oolong tea, candied orange peel and chocolate. A velvety touch of dried bay leaf, and salted caramel, add intrigue to a finish typified by red fruit and minerality," shares Drew Damskey, Red Bear winemaker.
In November, Red Bear launched on the wine menu at Olivetta in West Hollywood. In addition to the winery’s e-commerce, the team is expanding the Red Bear paw print across additional restaurants in the New Year.
“We are thrilled to be expanding Red Bear Winery’s Cabernet beyond an e-commerce platform. Adding our 2019 to the menu at Olivetta, one of the hottest and best restaurants in Los Angeles, is a profound honor for me. With this foray into restaurants, bars and special events, we can’t wait have more people taste Red Bear,” shares Sam Jordan, co-founder, Red Bear Winery.
