These O.C. locations are decking the halls for a season of Christmas celebrations

1. Celebrate the magic of the season with Christmas day brunch at The Ranch at Laguna Beach. Live acoustic holiday classics will fill the glittering ballroom while The Ranch serves up a festive feast with all of the trimmings. 2. Sailing into its 110th year, the Newport Beach Christmas Boat Parade continues to be one of O.C.’s longest-running holiday traditions. Gather around the Newport Pier Dec. 19 for a fireworks display signaling the start of the five-night holiday celebration. Bask in the twinkling lights of nearly 100 festively decorated vessels sailing along the 14-mile course. 3. Christmas spirit is in the air at Lido Marina Village, offering holiday happenings for the whole family. Listen to live carolers sing the songs of the season before taking the kids to meet Santa Clause himself. Sip hot chocolate from the comfort of the Lido Deck while watching the Newport Beach Christmas Parade sail by, and bring the little ones to a special breakfast with Santa at Malibu Farm on Christmas Eve. 4. Fashion Island Hotel is decking the halls with live holiday music, a spectacular gingerbread display, four-course Christmas dinner and more. Toast a Christmas spirit and soak in acoustic renditions of holiday classics before viewing The Polar Express-themed gingerbread house. On Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, make a reservation to indulge in Oak Grill’s holiday spread, including beef filet bourguignon and kale-crusted salmon with all the trimmings, plus egg nog crème brûlée for dessert. 5. Thousands of lights will illuminate Dana Point Harbor this holiday season for the 44th annual Boat Parade of Lights. Boaters from all over O.C. will decorate their ships for “A Western Wonderland,” with awards going to those who create the most festive country western Christmas celebration.
