A collaborative merger between WatchBox, Govberg, Radcliffe and Hyde Park Jewelers, The 1916 Company debuted last fall as a new global community and destination for fine watches, jewelry, education and experiences. With an emphasis on stunning timepieces, the brand began its rollout across the company’s global footprint, which includes legacy Hyde Park Jewelers and its local outpost at Fashion Island in Newport Beach. Now, the brand is placing an expanded focus on jewelry, revealing a multi-channel experience both in-person and online.
“Our jewelry initiative mirrors the principles that made our watch business successful: education, entertainment and personalized support, focusing on the emotional nature of the experience, as jewelry holds both intrinsic and sentimental value,” says global CEO John Shmerler. “We aim to bring passion and knowledge to the space as we help our clients form lasting connections with their jewelry, marking the biggest celebrations and everyday moments of their lives.”
